Afghan troopers killed in US air strikes | World

KABUL: A minimum of 5 Afghan troopers have been killed and 10 injured in air strikes carried out by US forces within the southern Afghan province of Uruzgan on Wednesday, Afghan officers stated, in an obvious case of pleasant fireplace.

The Defence Ministry stated in an announcement giving the casualty numbers the Afghan troopers had been patrolling a checkpoint.

“This assault was prompted as a consequence of lack of correct coordination,” a ministry official advised Reuters.

The NATO-led Resolute Help mission in Kabul stated the US carried out precision self-defense air strikes on folks firing on Afghan and American forces who have been conducting a floor motion close to an Afghan military checkpoint.

It didn’t affirm or deny the air strikes prompted casualties.
