ARMY CHIEF VISITED LAHORE, CHAIRED SECURITY MEETING AT CORPS HEADQUARTER

On Tuesday Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javaid Bajwa visited the Lahore and head a high-security meeting in Corps headquarter Lahore. COAS came to Lahore after a horrible incident in which 13 lives expired with 2 high officials police officers. These types of incidents could neither lower our national resolve nor affect ongoing efforts against terrorism.

COAS said Army will give the fully support and fool proof security for holding up the final of PSL in Lahore. This is our responsibility to protect our nation and gave the security for entertainment.

Army will extend full support to all concerned for holding the event as scheduled,

Commander Lahore Corps and Intelligence Agencies Lieutenant General Sadiq Ali briefed him on suicide blast on Mall Road.

These terrorists of all hue, colours, financiers, masters, planners all are hunted from outside the country. But we will not let them free to do any act. We will chase them and will get their all supporters and helpers. We have cleared our 95% tribal areas and Insha’Allah will clear our borderline in little time.

Efforts of intelligence agencies were appreciated by Army chief who said, intelligent agencies deserve to appreciate at their work that traces the culprit of last night incident which has resulted into important apprehensions overnight including few Afghans

He also visited the Services Hospital and met the injured in last night incident. He also expressed his grief and condolences to other bereaved families.

It is pertinent to note that on Monday, a protest was held by Pharmacists near Punjab Assembly against new Drug rules, but suddenly a suicide attacker exploited himself and claimed 13 lives including two senior Police officers Ahmad Mubeen (DIG traffic), Zahid Gondal (SSP) and 11 civilians.
