Auqaf Division takes over management of banned outfits’ mosques, madrassah | Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The Auqaf Division on Wednesday took over management of mosques and madrassahs (non secular seminaries) being operated by banned outfits.

In accordance with sources, Quba Masjid, Madni Masjid, Ali Asghar Masjid, Madrassah Khalid bin Waleed and Madrassah Zi-ul-Quran have been taken into management by the Auqaf Division.

Sources added the mosques and madrassahs have been taken into management following an operation towards proscribed organisations underneath the Nationwide Motion Plan (NAP).

New imams and preachers have been appointed by the Auqaf Division within the mosques and the madrassahs.

Molana Yaseen of Masjid Quba has been changed as a preacher by Molana Umar Farooq, whereas Molana Azhar Abbasi has been eliminated as a preacher and changed with Molana Umar Farooq.

Additional, Yar Mohammad has been changed as a preacher of Ali Asghar Masjid by Qari Mohammad Siddiqui. 

Earlier, Minister of State for Inside Shehryar Afridi had mentioned the operation towards proscribed organisations underneath the Nationwide Motion Plan (NAP) will proceed until achievement of targets.

The minister of state for inside tweeted, “Operation towards proscribed organisations as per NAP 2014 shall proceed until achievement of targets. Efforts to speed up progress on full NAP are being pursued.”

On Tuesday, the federal authorities took as many as 44 members affiliated with proscribed organisations, together with Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Masood Azhar’s brother, Mufti Abdul Rauf, and son, Hammad Azhar, into “preventive detention” underneath NAP.
