Flash floods kill a minimum of 42 in Indonesia’s Papua province | World

JAKARTA: Flash floods in Indonesia’s easternmost province of Papua have killed a minimum of 42 folks and badly injured 21 others, an area catastrophe company official informed Reuters on Sunday.

The Sentani space close to the provincial capital Jayapura has been hit by torrential rain since Saturday that triggered the floods, stated the official, Cory Simbolon.

At the least 9 homes and two bridges have been broken by the floods, nationwide catastrophe company spokesperson Sutopo Purwo Nugroho stated, including {that a} search and rescue group has but to succeed in all of the affected areas.
