Google, Facebook and Daily Motion Could be Banned in Pakistan

Punjab Revenue Authority has asked these international websites to pay provincial sales tax according to the law of Pakistan. A letter is written to facebook inc asking the corporation for sales tax. In response to that notice, facebook said that its company operates from Ireland and anyone who is uploading any advertisement from Pakistan on facebook is liable to pay taxes to Govt of Pakistan and not the facebook.

PRA may approach PTA for imposing a ban on these site in Pakistan for their tax evasion.
