Indian allegations of Bahawalpur madrassah being JeM headquarters false: data minister | Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Info Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Saturday rejected Indian allegations {that a} madrassah in Bahawalpur, which the Punjab authorities not too long ago took administrative management of, is the headquarters of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM).

In a video message on social media, Chaudhry clarified that the Punjab authorities took administrative management of Madrassatul Sabir and Jamia-e-Masjid Subhanallah in Bahawalpur consistent with the selections taken throughout the Nationwide Safety Council (NSC) assembly held on Thursday and as a part of the Nationwide Motion Plan (NAP).

“Throughout yesterday’s NSC assembly yesterday it was determined that NAP can be totally carried out. Some steps have been taken on this regard yesterday and right this moment the Punjab authorities took administrative management of a madrassah in Bahawalpur,” the data minister stated.

“That is the madrassah that India was doing propaganda over and alleging that it’s the headquarters of JeM. Tomorrow, the Punjab authorities will give media individuals a tour of the madrassahs so everybody can see how it’s functioning and see the reality for themselves,” he added.

Stating that “round 700 college students are learning on the madrassah”, the data minister stated, “This step [to take administrative control] has nothing to do with the assault in occupied Kashmir.”

“NAP is our personal safety doc over which all political events are in consensus and we’re implementing it,” he burdened.

Tensions have soared between the nuclear-armed rivals since a suicide assault final week killed 41 troopers in occupied Kashmir, the deadliest assault in years.
