Indian Court Lifted Ban on Beef Eating.
Indian Court has revoked the old law restricting to use beef as a meal. Prior to that, a sanction was imposed in west Maharashtria for usage of beef and violator of this law had to bear a penalty and prison. Revocation of this law is no doubt a shock for Hindu Associations. According to a law passed by senior most court of Mumbai(Capital of Maharashtria) in May 2016, storage and eating of any kind of beef brought from outside Maharashtria will be permissible. However, this time court retained a part of previous law of 2015 and said that slaughter of cow is not allowed.
Its important to note that cow is considered as a pious creature in India and its slaughter is prohibited there.
