It is reported that Ex–Pakistani opener batsman Nasir Jamshaid arrested along with a bookie in London in the case relating to spot-fixing in Pakistan super League.
On Monday, Pakistan cricket Board suspended Nasir Jamshaid from all cricket formats against the violation of Anti-corruption code of PCB.
Reported that Nasir Jamshaid was behind the spot-fixing of PSL events in which 2 players from Islamabad united, Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif was suspended from PSL and one player Muhammad Irfan still in the inquiry. Member of a syndicate committee of PCB anti-corruption unit told that it was a mega chain of spot-fixing and PSL was going to become mud and mask.
PCB CHAIRMAN’S STATEMENT
‘I have heard that he (Nasir Jamshed) has been arrested, we did not do anything, this is the criminal offence in England, if anyone does such a thing in sports and they take as a criminal offence… PCB has already taken action.”
Najam Sethi tweet that Nasir Jamshaid is also suspended from all the formats and PCB has already taken action against him. If we find any strong evidence against him, we will never fill any hesitation and will take action.
The London Based National Crime Agency announced that on Monday, a man near 30 was taken into custody as part of an ongoing investigation against spot-fixing in cricket and was released on bail from police custody until April and further investigation pending.
As a part of an ongoing investigation, the case is pending and we are closely working with the Anti-corruption Unit of Pakistan Cricket Board and International Cricket Council.
