KARACHI: Opposition events on Tuesday introduced to boycott the Sindh Meeting proceedings for the subsequent two days over the provincial authorities’s denial to allot Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairmanship to the opposition.
Opposition Chief within the Sindh Meeting, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Firdous Shamim Naqvi advised reporters earlier at the moment that the opposition members will refuse to be a part of the meeting’s standing committees and the protest will proceed till their calls for are met.
PTI chief Khurram Sher Zaman, reiterating the opposition’s calls for, stated that the provincial authorities knew that if PAC chairmanship was granted to the opposition then “its secrets and techniques can be out within the open.”
Muttahida Qaumi Motion-Pakistan chief Khawaja Izharul Hassan protested that the opposition members had been now not allowed to talk on the meeting, and that the sanctity of the Sindh Meeting was being breached.
Parliamentary chief Hasnain Mirza of the Grand Democratic Alliance identified water shortage points in Badin, lamenting that nobody was elevating their voice on the matter.
