Another petition submitted in Lahore high court for the countrywide ban on social media.

According to detail, Advocate Azhar Siddiqui filed an application in Lahore High Court for ban the social media in all over the Pakistan. In his application, Advocate Azhar Siddiqui claimed that social media has become a big reason for blasphemy and no one is being stopped it even government institute who are responsible for seeking this issue, are also in the utopian world. They are not performing their duties.

It further stated that National & International laws bound everyone to obey the religious personalities from all religion. Pakistani law 295-C mention that no one has right to disrespect to any religious personality but on social media, this intolerant act is continuously doing.

Earlier, the Islamabad High Court had directed the government to remove all sacrilegious and blasphemous content from local social media platforms.

The petitioner, in this regard, has pleaded for the ban on social media over violation of the court orders.
