SUPREME COURT BANS SUBSTANDARD OIL AND GHEE

 SUPREME COURT HALTS SALE SUBSTANDARD OIL AND GHEE

Supreme Court of Pakistan ordered to ban the distribution of the low-quality oil and ghee till further inquiry which is submitted within ten days.

Supreme Court noticed the increasing of heart diseases among children due to the utilisation of harmful cooking oil.

A Suo-moto action was taken by the Supreme Court against the sale of low-standard oil in utility stores. Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar is the head of three member’s bench.

Supreme Court ordered to check the quality of plastic bags in which oil, ghee and water is sealed.

According to research, the main reason of harmful disease is the packing of low-quality oil ghee and water in plastic bags that may be damaged due to the long time absorption of sunlight.

PSQCA (Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority) is ordered by the chief justice of Pakistan to check the quality of Chinese salt that may also is the reason of heart disease, blood pressure and others.

Supreme Court adjourned the hearing for two weeks and ordered to stop the distribution of marked low-standard oil, ghee and water.
