TWO SENIOR POLICE OFFICERS AMONG 12 OTHERS KILLED IN LAHORE BLAST

On Monday, 2 senior police officers and 12 others were killed in Lahore blast. According to detail, a protest was conducted at mall road by Pakistan Pharmaceuticals Association against new law of drug regulatory authority.

With detail, two high-profile officers, Captain (r) Mubeen (DIG Traffic) and Zahid Gondal (SSP operations) were killed in the attack when they were at protest place to reduce it for traffic coherency. 12 others also lost their lives and at least 70 injured in this incident.

“Hundreds of chemists were doing a protest against a new law in front of Punjab Assembly when the incident of attack occurred”. Rana Sanaullah, (Provincial Law Minister).

Pakistan Pharmaceuticals Association members were sitting against law at Mall Road and Captain Mubeen was holding talks with them for traffic disturbance and suddenly blast occurred and leave him dead among 12 others and 40 serious injured.

Security and rescue agencies reached there and started the rescue operation. Many injured are critical eight dead bodies and 19 of the injured victims were moved to Ganga Ram Hospital while two bodies and 18 injured victims were sent to Mayo Hospital.
